Welcoming NFDA Leadership to Louisville

August 14th, 2026

The NFDA Leadership Conference came to Louisville this year. Express Funeral Funding and the Messenger Family were excited to welcome funeral professionals from across the country to our hometown backyard.

Together, the Messenger Family hosted attendees for two special occasions. Both offered great food, Kentucky traditions, and plenty of opportunities to connect.

An Evening at EFF

NFDA Leadership Conference attendees joined the Messenger Family at EFF headquarters for a special evening of food, bourbon, and Louisville views.

Guests enjoyed a taste of Kentucky with Hot Browns, live music, and cigars. Most importantly, the evening offered plenty of time to relax and connect with fellow funeral professionals. With beautiful rooftop views and a great group of people, it was the perfect way to kick off their time in Louisville.

A Taste of Kentucky Bourbon

Of course, no Louisville experience would be complete without bourbon.

Lacy Robinson with Bourbon Legends Tour joined us to lead a special tasting featuring Oxmoor bourbon. Throughout the tasting, guests learned more about the bourbon and its rich history. They also had the chance to enjoy the experience and share a few laughs along the way.

Overall, it was a fun way to introduce our guests to Kentucky traditions. It also gave everyone another opportunity for conversation and connection.

A Day at Churchill Downs

The Louisville experience continued the following day at Churchill Downs. There, the Messenger Family was proud to sponsor another special experience for NFDA Leadership Conference attendees.

Guests got an up-close look at racehorses and took in the incredible views of the historic racetrack. In addition, they even had the chance to make their own horseshoes.

From experiencing the traditions of Churchill Downs to spending more time together, it was a memorable way to end our time with NFDA Leadership.

Sharing a Little Louisville Hospitality

At EFF and throughout the Messenger Family, relationships are an important part of what we do. The NFDA Leadership Conference gave us another opportunity to connect with those who help move the funeral profession forward.

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make these events such a success.

Most of all, we hope our NFDA Leadership guests left Louisville with great memories and new connections. We also hope they enjoyed a taste of the Kentucky hospitality we’re proud to call our own.

Until next time!
